The Dreamer
The Dreamer
On the deck of the QE 2
dreams of the sea
as it lies in the morning light
the luminous blue of the sky
shining down, tinting the sea
making of it a blue carpet
scuffed gently by waves
and the dreamer dreams of striding
salt breeze soft on the skin
striding on the carpet of water
clear to the far horizon
stepping over the rim
sliding down
the sweet curve of the earth
becoming one with the universe
and the dreamer dreams of singing
singing in ecstacy yes. Singing
